$40.00 after December 13th
(Lab fees are extra.)
Important: No registrations will be accepted after December 29th.
Scouts can register for more than one Merit Badge, (not to exceed 8 hours of total class time).

 

Registration fee includes lunch, light breakfast and blue cards. Merit Badge Courses are for First Class Scouts and above OR Scouts who have finished the 7th grade. Every Scout attending Merit Badge College must be currently registered with the Boy Scouts of America.

Important:

  • Class registration as well as requirements and pre-requisites for all Merit Badge College classes are online at www.nepabsa.org/mbc
  • For all Merit Badges being completed at Merit Badge College, you must follow the requirements as stated on the website which are taken from the BSA 2017 Requirements Book.
  • All requirements marked in bold, blue type on the website must be completed prior to Merit Badge College.  Some work will need to be emailed to the counselor in advance - see specifics HERE.  Badges which require prerequisites to be emailed in advance are due by 5pm Wednesday, January 3.
  • A Scout completing a prerequisite needs to understand that a written response must be in his own words. A written response involving text a Scout has “copied and pasted” (or otherwise borrowed verbatim from a source) will not be accepted as fulfillment of a prerequisite.
  • All written requirements must be typed.
  • Partials will be issued for incomplete work.
  • Some badges require travel off the King’s College Campus to other nearby venues to complete requirements. These “field trips” are chaperoned.
  • The Scout Oath and The Scout Law shall be the code of Merit Badge College.
  • Full, Class “A” uniform is required, including scout pants.
  • Any and all supplies needed for merit badge classes, along with any completed work, project materials, prerequisites, verifications, hard copies of email submissions, etc. must be brought with you to Merit Badge College. Be Prepared.
  • Each Scout is required to be in possession of the Merit Badge Book for the class(es) he is attending. (Be aware that the NEPA Scout Shop is closed December 22 through January 1)

Attendance is no guarantee of receiving credit for the merit badge(s) attempted at Merit Badge College. All merit badges require active preparation and participation.
