The Northeastern Pennsylvania Council is pleased to announce that it is participating in the 2013-2014 Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation Eagle Scout Service Project Grant Program. Through this program, up to 15 NEPA Council Eagle Scout candidates will receive $100 grants in the form of Discover gift cards funded by the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation. The gift cards are limited to direct purchases of supplies, materials, or services that will be used for an Eagle Scout service project. The cards must not be used to “reimburse” expenses that have already been incurred, nor can the cards be used for food or tools. Though funded through the generosity of the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation, the gift cards are supplied through Discover and may be used not only at a Lowe’s location, but any establishment that accepts the Discover Card. The cards will expire on May 1, 2014.

A Scout hoping to apply for a Lowe’s grant must have:

  1. Achieved Life Scout rank.

  2. Received approval of his Eagle Scout service project proposal from the NEPA Council Advancement Committee.

  3. Completed a grant application available via the download link, below, or at the Scout Service and Training Center.
