The Northeastern Pennsylvania Council is running a contingent to the Boy Scouts of America’s premiere National High Adventure Base, Florida Sea Base, located in the Florida Keys. The trip will take place August 4th – 10th, 2019.

The essence of the Keys Adventure program is to offer as much excitement and variety of activities as possible within a seven-day period. You will paddle board, ocean kayak, sail, boat, fish, snorkel coral reefs, learn about marine ecosystems, travel to Munson Island for an overnight adventure, and visit historic Key West!

This contingent is open to Scouts from any Troop who will be 13 years and first class by August 1st and have not yet turned 18 years old. Registered adults, 18 years and older are also needed as crew leaders.

Total cost of the trip will be about $1500. (This cost will vary slightly based on final arrangements and airfare.) Scholarship opportunities exist as well as fundraising programs.

There are a limited number of spots available for this trek: Only 12 youth and 2 adults can attend. Qualifying Scouts will be accepted on a first-come basis followed by approval from the Contingent leaders with a $200 non-refundable deposit. Adults who wish to attend as contingent leaders should contact Rachael Stark at the Service Center immediately.
